THE ART OF SPOON CARVING AT THE WORKS AT KENNETT SQUARE 

Join us for an afternoon of craft and good company and learn the art of carving a spoon from various woods in the the cozy WorKS at Kennett Square in Kennett, Pennsylvania. 

You will learn the basic skills need to carve a spoon and leave with your very own handmade creation as well as our small batch wood oil to take home.  

Class includes all tools and supplies to make one spoon, sandpaper, a handmade muslin bag for transporting your spoon, and a small batch of wood oil to take home.  Resources for continuing your spoon carving practice beyond the class will be provided as well.

Refreshments will be provided as well including beverages and locally sourced cheeseboards.

Join Nicole at the Millworks for an afternoon of craft and good company and learn the art of carving a spoon from various woods in the beautiful and historic Millworks located in the Midtown area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 

You will learn the basic skills need to carve a spoon and leave with your very own handmade creation as well as our small batch wood oil to take home.  

Class includes all tools and supplies to make one spoon. Sandpaper and a small batch of wood oil will be your gift to take home along with your finished spoon.  Resources for continuing your spoon carving practice beyond the class will be provided as well.

Refreshments will be provided by The Millworks including beverages and locally-sourced Charcuterie.

MODERN TEXTURAL WEAVING WITH SARA BANNER OF THE FOREST FERN

Join my friend Sara in this three hour class to learn the basics of frame loom weaving with modern acrylic lap looms by Sonora Handmade. From warping your loom to finishing your weave, you will learn all of the skills needed to create a small woven tapestry. With a focus on creating texture, we will use different techniques to add visual interest including, but not limited to, tabby weave, rya knots, shag, loops, Soumak stitch and weaving with roving. This class is appropriate for beginners. 

Class fee includes an acrylic lap loom and set of weaving tools by Sonora Handmade, including our custom Sonora Handmade + The Forest Fern weaving needle, and a full selection of fibers. 

Refreshments will be provided by The Millworks including coffee, tea and an assortment of morning pastries as part of your class fee.
