We’re hiring a Senior Designer
Position requirements are as follows:
• Working as part of the vestige HOME team on multi-room/complex projects from start to finish, from design planning through implementation. Creating excellent and engaging designs, coordinating and collaborating with other team members, developing plans and schedules, monitoring project progress, communication with clients, coordination and direction with tradespeople, ensuring best project management practices, and meeting project deadlines.
• Strong foundation of construction knowledge and commitment to continuing to develop that knowledge over time
• Project Management experience, managing both construction (in collaboration with a GC) and decorating scopes, including management of product and materials planning and timelines
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Exceptional personal design portfolio
• Excellent presentation skills, attention to detail in presentation and communication of ideas to Creative Director and Clients
• Work closely with clients and Creative Director to understand their vision, functional needs, and bring creative concepts to life. Ensuring design vision set forth by Creative Director is realized in design development, product specification and installation
• Experience in creating processes and systems and communicating/implementing them amongst a team
Qualifications:
Degree in Interior Design with at least 7-10+ year’s experience working in the interior design field, with significant experience designing and managing fully conceptualized spaces (preferably at least 5 years).
• Experience working in SketchUp, SketchUp Layout, and Enscape software
• Be extremely well organized and attentive to details with strong written and oral communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows independently
• Comfortable enforcing design details and being a client advocate for design intent, function, and quality
• Experience in managing design planning schedules with accuracy and prioritization, clearly setting and managing expectations with clients and vendors
• Self-starting attitude, comfortable proposing solutions or refinements to company processes or policies as needed
• Demonstrated leadership in a team environment
• Understand and effectively communicate blueprints and site plans
• Knowledge of the Mac computer environment
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of interior products, materials, furnishings, and window treatments
• Experience in accurately detailing, estimating and quoting materials, custom furniture, upholstery, cabinetry, and millwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for a significant portion of the day
• Must possess a thorough working knowledge of interior construction detailing, interior specification coordination, and FF&E specifications
• Regular access to a vehicle for making deliveries/running errands
• Experience in Houzz Pro software a plus, but not required
• Excellent initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced/ebb and flow environment
